1. The hidden skills prompt
Four steps, one chat. Paste each step after the last one has answered. Don't skip ahead: each step uses the answer before it.
- 1
Step 1: Find the skills you've done but never named
Paste your resume, then ask:
Find every place in this resume where I led people through a change, solved a problem nobody asked me to solve, or did work above my title, without naming the skill. List each one and the skill a recruiter would search for. - 2
Step 2: Keep the ones that matter for the job you want
Paste the job ad, then ask:
Here is a job I want. Compare your list to this job ad. Rank the hidden skills by how much this employer is asking for them, using the exact words the ad uses. For each one, tell me which line in my resume proves it, and flag any where the evidence is thin. - 3
Step 3: Rewrite the bullets
For the top five, rewrite the resume bullet so it names the skill in the ad's words and leads with the result: what changed, by how much, and how I did it. Do not invent numbers or claims. Where a number is missing, put [number?] and ask me for it. - 4
Step 4: Turn them into interview stories
For the same five, write a short interview story for each: the situation, what I did, and what changed as a result, in under 90 seconds spoken. Then give me the interview question each story answers, and one follow-up question an interviewer is likely to ask. Ask me about anything you had to guess.
Before you use any of it
- Only keep what's true and what you can talk about for two minutes without notes.
- Answer every [number?] and every question the AI asks you. That's where the strongest bullets come from.
- Put the skill name in your summary as well as the bullet. That's the part a keyword search reads first.
